Why computer science student don't like programming?

  1. There's a lot more to computer science that programming - hardware design, database design, networking, etc. Just because CS is a major doesn't mean you HAVE to write programs (at least, no more than is required to fulfill graduation prerequisites.)


  2. There are different types and levels of programming.

    Programming is just one area of software development.

    Most people don't like what the don't understand, general psychology really... that and the fact that not everone likes everything.

    Some people just don't like math, logic and algorithms.

    Programming is the act of writing code that performs computations.

    Computers perform computations by executing the code from the actions of programming.

    You wouldn't make a very good computer scientist if you didn't fully understand how that whole process is works.

    After all, if you don't have a need for a program to run, why would you need a computer at all? Let alone... learn about them.
