  1. It would ruin them because they are only made to burn kerosene.

    Gasoline burns too hot.

We have the newer ones that use propane and really like them.

No bad smelling fumes and they burn for a long time.

  2. You are still using gas and the lead is not needed to increase combustion anti knock (Octane rating) is what it was used for. Most lanterns and stoves require White gas. No coloring in it for same reason it don't solute since it is external combustion. Propane burns much cleaner if you can get the same lantern or stove in propane they have made them for years. The old Coleman gas lanterns and stoves would operate on regular leaded gas with no problem I have used it many times.

  3. YOU HAVE TO USED WHITE GAS. REGULAR GASOLINE CAN MAKE YOUR STOVE OR LANTERNS COUNT ON FIRE AND ALOTS OF CAMP SITES WILL NOT LET YOU USED WHITE GAS ANYMORE.!!!!;-)

  4. no leaded gasoline in the chicagoland area to be found, you must be living in a dream state.

  5. I don't know where you live but I can't buy LEADED fuel anywhere(I wish I could!), Do You mean UN-LEADED fuel, anyway the answer is that it burns too dirty and fast and would be a danger for those reasons.

  6. Too contaminated, and it burns at the wrong temperature.  It is also too dangerous.  as for gasoling in a stove, you would contaminate the food!

  7. gasoline is much more combustible than coleman fuel.  It also is more toxic when burned.  I don't think your food would taste very good, and your lantern may explode.
