...countries? Are there geo - economical reasons? Are there historical - sociological reasons? Could be just a political issue, the main reason for this to happen?

I would thank if anyone can tell me if there is a book or author that deals with this kind of topics.

  1. I would suggest that at the beginning of the industrial age, those countries you mention were in no need of what we would call advances in science and technology. Remember, science and technology is only encouraged and spawned related to the needs of the population.  Also during that time, colonialism was rampant and it was in the best interest of colonial nations to keep the population in a subservient situation. When colonialism collapsed after WWII, it was assumed these now independent countries would take over responsibility of modernizing and maintaining their infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities.  However, that takes huge amounts of capital dollars, something they did not have. Hence their dependence on the world bank and exported technical assistance.  IMO, western societies wanted it that way.  You may remember that right after the various countries became independent, the west simply sat back for several years and let them sink or swim.  That stupidity spawned civil wars and potential recruits for terrorism.  We are now playing catch up.

  2. its because the time during which the real advancements in science took place and on the dawn of modern world , these countries arnt free
