Cricket was played only in countries influenced by Britain. I don't think China or Russia even knew about these sports 1 or 2 centuries ago. As 4 USA they invented their own version of cricket - baseball.

They have other well established sports which make it difficult for cricket to make way. The main reason there is so much money in sports like NBA, NFL, Baseball in the US that young children want to play and adults want to watch it.

Up until the IPL cricket had no chance of competing. But now cricket could start to get a foothold. It was actually reported in a US newspaper that the IPL is more palatable for the US market.

They are'nt  brainy alone but has skill related to this game even,the thing is they re busy with their money making businesses such as ELECTRONICS,IT INDUSTRIES,SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH  UNIVERSITIES .Moreover they indulge themselves in profit making ideologies which are essential to raise their economy!!!

Though i don't belong to any of these nations my answer favoured them!!!!!!
