  1. Check the door alignment. easily adjusted via the screws in the hinges.

  2. The door hinges may need lubrication.

There may be loose joints in the woodwork - it may just need a s***w to tighten things up, or you can use an expanding glue (like Gorilla Glue) to reglue loose joints.

  3. If it's a 3-hinge cabinet, one of the hinges is probably out of line with the other two, causing the wood to flex when you open the door.  If it's a 2 hinge cabinet, it could be a hinge out of line, but it might also be wood rubbing around the perimeter somewhere.

Loosen all the screws on the LOWER hinge and open the door.  If it stops creeking, a hinge is out of line.  You'll have to remove the hinge (the attachment to the cabinet is best, leave the door attachment intact).  Fill in the holes with something that you can later s***w into (the old wood glue and wooden match stick trick works really well).  When that's all set up, place the hinge back against the cabinet frame, letting it fall naturally into place while insuring an even gap around the entire cabinet door, and put pencil marks where the holes in the hinge lie.  Drill small pilot holes on the pencil marks, being sure to be VERY precise with the holes.  Then put the screws back into the hinge, and voila!
