The IPCC was rewarded half of that (Nobel Peace Prize). Why did we not hear about that? Why do we only hear about Gore? What did the IPCC do? I just found this out and don't understand.

  1. because he has only half a brain, just like the members of the IPCC. Giving Bore even half a Noble Peace Prize is like giving  a cartoon character one which could have done just as good as Bore in dissemating the IPCC fluff in popular tv shows, like giving one to Squarepants Spongebob.

  2. The IPCC did all the work.  It's composed of thousands of scientists who did all the research.  All Gore did was make the science accessible to the masses.  But he's the famous guy, so he got most of the attention.

  3. Al Gore didn't "share" his Peace Prize. It was awarded to him and to the IPCC. Gore was awarded for his efforts to bring the knowledge to a great number of people, like yourself, who didn't read the work of the IPCC. In essence, the IPCC brought all the research together that led to the conclusion that current and expected global warming is largely anthropogenic (caused by human activity). Without the IPCC, Gore would not have easily had a solid basis of information. And the IPCC was not as successful as Gore in disseminating the information. So they were really partners.

  4. check the link. ipcc worked with al gore or vice versa to promote his speech which later became the documentary.
