  1. Well yes Persian women are pretty but that was not the reason. He took a Persian as a wife and had his generals take some as wives for political reasons. He knew that if he was going to rule over that area it would be a lot easier if the people felt that their own had some power and influence. By taking a Persian wife he in a sense showed the people that he cared about the land and people. It allowed them to feel like they were now really a part of his empire and not just a group of people who lost in battle and had to be ruled by the winner. By having his generals marry he tied them to the area. He knew that they would likely treat the people better and feel more attached to the area if their wives were from the area. So the real reason he took a Persian wife was for political reasons. If he had had a son and the son's of his generals would also be part Persian that means that after Alexander's death they would have been ruled over by someone who was part Persian, in theory. I say in theory because as we now know he had no children, which lead to the Wars of the Successors.

  2. cuz the Persian culture was so strong and liberal. remember the Persians adminstered a whole regoin from India to Romania and Tunisia, there should have been something.

\and  ive met a coupla persian ladies, their so hot. OMG.

  3. believe it or not. Alexander is Tho al Qaruyn (the two horns)the one is mentioned in the quran on surah al Khaf

    yes. persian ladies are hott

  4. Alexander’s adoption of Persian ways earned him the resentment of many Greek intellectuals and he tried to lessen this by marrying himself and 92 of his Companions to Persian noblewomen in 324 BC. He also gave presents to 10, 000 of his men who were cohabitating with native women, and recognised their children as legitimate. This seemingly humane act had another purpose for when he began to dismiss large chunks of his forces, he asked them to leave their wives and children behind, on the excuse that it would cause too much trouble back home. But his real intentions were that he wanted a new army of mixed blood who would have no ties or loyalties, except to him alone, and who would be free of national allegiance and tradition
