Why did Ali(RA) get his daughter om kalthoom maried to Omer(RA)?

i thought according to the shia he's bad then why did Ali (AS) get his daughter married to a bad person?? did he prefer bad for his daughter???

It is very common consideration [R V should say sign of NASBIET] among sunnies,as they say ......Ume-KALsoom bint-e-Ali was married to Umer bin khetab.

No need for us to explain it ,because it is very clear for every Shia that Ume-kalsoom who was married to ibne-khetab was not bint-e-Ali[daughter of ALI as] but was bint-e-Abubaker[abubaker,s daughter].

Just for confirmation here r some refs:,

As it is a very common thinking among sunnies that ume-kalsoom bint-e-Ali was married to Umer bin khetab just like as they say........prophet has 4 daughters named Roqia, Zaineb, Ume-kalsoom, & Sayeda Fatima.....?in fact HE pbuh had only one.

Now the question is>>>then how this consideration became so common that HE had 4....???

So the answer is>>>because the 3 were only looked after by Sayeda Khadeeja.They were not her daughters infact,they were her niece.When she came to marry PROPHET pbuh ,they were with her. PROPHET & Khadeeja treated them as thier own daughters so it was very easy to consider them thier daughters[2 of 3 married to Usman.....& this is one reason too....to say them PROPHET,s daughters....aiming to couter Ali,s dignity]......so just like this it was said that ume kasoom bint-e-Ali was married to ibne-khetab to gain some pride fof him......???

Here is very simple fact about this planned story:

V all know .....Mohammed bin Abubaker was very much beloved to Ali[as] in fact he was looked after by Ali [as] & his mother Asmaa & sister Ume kalsoom were also with him.So ume kalsoom was also looked after by Ali[as].And she was after then married to Umer bin khetab,till marriage she was still under Ali,s[as] care....now Ali[as] has his own daughter also named Ume kalsoom,so this confusion or a planned propaganda is understandable to say that ume kalsoom bint-e-Ali[as] was married to ibne khetab.

This was the logic......now V should check these historical facts:

*****Umer bin khetab had 4 wives named Ume kalsoom,

[1] ume kalsoom bint-e-umro,

[2] ume kalsoom bint-e-Assem,

[3] ume kalsoom bint-e-uqba,

[4] ume kalsoom bint-e-abubaker,

ref-------Usaba fee tameez-e-sahaba, Tareekh-e-khamees

so it was very easy to add ume kalsoom bint-e-Ali[as] to his wives list.

*****just simple calculations-------check this carefully,

[1] Ume kalsoom bint-e-abubaker[umer,s wife] was died in 50 hijra.

[2]Ume kalsoom bint-e-Ali [Mohammed bin jaffer-e-Tayyar,s wife] was died in 80 hijra

So pls U sunnies 1st check history then claim for some thing it not enough to listen from MOLA.............???.

Some believe it is true and some believe not. The most authentic Hadith collection among sunni friends are Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim (Sahih means Correct here) which they often messuare the accuracy of a Hadith through these two reverenced collections . Plenty of Hadiths narrated by shiite recorders are usually rejected by Sunnies just because they're not metioned in these two Sahih-s .. If you search Sahih Al-bukhari or muslim throughly, you'd find not a single word proving this apocryphal story .. It's not even mentioned in Sunan an-Nasa'ii , Sunan Abu Dawud , Sunan at-Tirmidhi , Sunan ibn Majah ! So there's no sign of the story in the famous sixfold collection of sunnie hadiths !

If we accept it as a true story , the legitimacy of Umar Ibn Khattab would be undermined unfortunately and I believe it isn't what you can take it easily. According to the evidences presented by Sunnie scholars , Umar tried to hug Umm Kulthum when he met her alone , some Sunnie recorders claim , he tried to strip Umm Kulthum's shin and some say he tried to touch her shin  !!

These are the only proofs you can present to prove the marriage of Umm Kulthum and Umar but you can never accept some part and ignore the rest. Now I ask you , how could the Caliph of Muslims dare to do such a dishonorable thing to the granddaughter of The prophet ? These doubtful recorders contradict each other as obvious as it can't be ignored .

Apart from all , Ali was one of a kind ; We know At the end of the Jamal war , he sent Aysha with proper honor and respect to the city of Medina. So he still had to accept Umar as a religous leader although they betrayed the grand prophet .

Why did Allah marry the wife of Pharoah to Pharoah, your question is flawed, and void of logic. And another thing, Ali (as) gave his hand in alliance to Umar (ra) so do we, but we still think Ali(as) was the rightful successor

Sister muslima ! Shias source books tell us that Ali (ra) married his daughter Um Ul kulthum,to omar bin khattab (ra) .

They couldn't deny that for so many years ,

But giving v bad name to this Nikah .
