Why did Artemis get mad at Agamemnon?

  1. He was bragging about how good of a hunter he was, claiming he was better than the great huntress, herself--Artemis.  He then killed one of her prized stags, an animal that is sacred to her.  (She's often shown walking with deer in paintings or sculptures).

    Yeah...he was a bit of an arrogant prick.

    EDIT:  Oh yeah--and the consequence of angering her, was the complete lack of winds that postponed their voyage for Troy.
