  1. I didnt even know it closed...maybe thats why it stopped advertising...... probably lost money or was bought.....

    they didnt have bussiness since the new splashtown came in so they shifted to dallas.

  4. Operation costs got too high and it was a money loser. it was better to shut it down and decide what to do wtih it, either find another organization that would take it over or dissembled and sell off the components and the land as well for housing or a business park

  5. I live in Houston and went to Astro World before it closed. It closed because they're bankrupt and had not enough money to keep up the maintanece.

  6. in houston???....if it is they were losing money!!!!.....and the land cost more than they were makin so they closed it down

  7. Basically because six flags was in debt close to 2 Billion dollars and Kieran Burke, the CEO of Six Flags thought the sale of the property would net over 100 Million. Turns out it only net 77 Million. But I think it was more so greed than anything else.
