Why did Blackfin Yachts go out of business?

Blackfin filed for Bakruptcy in 1997 and subsequently wound up closing there doors. I am sure it was due to poor management and an increase in costs. Most well built boats usually end up like that because the cost of manufacturing them is rarely covered by the sale price. Eventually the "good build cost" eats up the small amount of profit they make.
