  1. He was only offered 2.4 million and jersey offered about 7 million a year! he loved it here in minny and always said it was a good place to raise a family, but new jersey offered him more money and he went there! Nwe jersey was the team that drafted him when he was a rookie and won the cup back in '94 i think.... But  minnesota is really gonna miss him!

  2. He probably wanted to go back to Jersey and play with the Devils.

  3. Why did Brian Campbell leave San Jose, Wade Redden leave Ottawa, Ron Hainsey leave Columbus, Markus Naslund leave Vancouver, Jaromair Jagr leave the Rangers why its one thing and that is MONEY $$$$$$$$

  4. Have you seen those uniforms...?

  5. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...

  6. Better money elsewhere? Boring to play? He's a offensive player and was put in an extremely defensive system where he wasn't given the opportunities to showcase his talent as he wanted probably. He probalby wants to go somewhere he can shine offensively.

Players typically don't like defensive systems a lot...

  7. Maybe they were not willing to pay him enough... he had some good times in Jersey, so it is always possible that he liked it there better or still have a friendly relationship with the Devils management.

  8. He's played for the Devils before, so I guess he just wanted to go back home?

  9. because minnesote sucks? not the team, but the city. it's not that crazy 'bout hockey. anyway, jersey has a better team.
