Why did Bush give a billion of our tax dollars to the country of Georgia, when I can't even afford gasoline?

Couldn't he have spent that money here in the US. I don't know, maybe use it to improve our education system, build homeless shelters, fix the roads, give us a billion dollars in free gas, anything.

  1. It's the equivalent of $1000 for every family in Georgia.

    The average income per family is $4000 per annum as costs are lower.

    So it's like a 25% raise

    So - it's more like the equivalent to us of about $10,000 per family.

    Big party this weekend in Georgia I think.

    It might be worth rattling the Russians up again - to get some more US aid.
