  1. Well, to make a long story shorter:

in 1951 China took over Tibet without Tibet's consent. In 1959, Tibetans rebelled against the Chinese troops and consequently, many Tibetans died. The Dalai Lama also escaped, believing he was in peril. He remains in India ever since, and he is still trying to come up with a peaceful agreement with China.

  2. Actually, China technically didn't put them in exile. The people left on their own accord because they felt the Chinese would've oppressed them for their religion. As for the Dalai Lama, he was  responsible for a failed 1959 uprising supported by the CIA - fearing the Chinese gov't would try to assassinate him, he fled to India.

  3. The age old reason applies here...the Chinese want to dominate them and steal the land.

  4. Dalai Lama (Mud in Portuguese) wants the peace but stirs up all to the war. He is a hypocrite.
