Why did DW say "Boogdy boogdy boogdy, see you in february!" at the race at Dover June 1 2008?

Because his team  is done for the year, it will now split to other announcers, it has for years......

I hated it when they would split and it was time for Benny Parsons and his no talent crew would take over, here we go again..

Today was the last race for Fox this year. The next seven races will be on TNT and then the rest on ESPN and ABC. Fox will be back next year at the start of the 09 season.

well, boogdy boogdy boogdy is what he says at the start of every race.  and the races air on different channels and this was the last race on fox of the season so DW wont be broadcasting for the rest of the season either. In February the daytona 500 and speedweeks will be on fox again.

And DW works only the Fox half...which is over as of today. And D Waltrip ALWAYS starts the races by saying BOOGITY BOOKITY BOOGITY LET'S GO RACING BOYS!!!  He's done it for years. Thats why it is in the movie "Cars" and so is DW.  I think as Darrell Roadtrip or something.

Unfortunately FOX isnt covering the full race schedule and todays race was the last that FOX is covering for the next 6 races they are going to TNT coverage, then after that they are going to ESPN for 6 races, then TBA for one race, and then ABC for the last 10 races. So that is why he was saying see you in February because that is the next time he will be covering the next race during the Daytona 500.

The racing season is split between the two networks.  Fox only has the first part.  The middle part will be on TNT, and then Fox will pick back up in February.
