the issues are important...but it was her first speech...and she will be campaigning and talking about issues...so why the fuss about not addressing the issues...she is basically an unknown...

  1. But that's what I want to know.

I don't care about her family, her kids and her parents.

Tell me what you did for your city, for your state, and without the lies and the rose colored glasses.

  2. That's basically the problem. If they win, by the time she's ready to do the job, their term will be over. We shouldn't have to know why someone who has been nominated to be second in command of the greatest nation on earth is qualified, that should be a given. We need to know where she stands on vital issues and what she would do in office.

  3. Because they didn't want her responding to the smear campaign that they have put up against her..

Since the left has made her personal life an issue she had no choice but take a personal tack with her speech..

  4. Because she picked on them and it hurt their widdle feewings.

  5. exactly.....  she is an unknown.  that is why it was so important to talk about the issues.

  6. I think that democrats and liberals are going to go after Sarah Palin no matter what, but I think the main complaint is that they wanted her to talk more about her stance rather then go on the attack. Democrats and Liberals think that once conservatives have an open mind they will see how bad of a pick Sarah Palin is. No one really knows where Palin stands on issues that involve anything other then her and her and her family. Her speech was aimed at Republicans, and it was perfect for them because it gave them someone they know they can count on to continue the true conservative way. She has no real value other then to bring in swinger votes, and that's what McCain needs.

  7. Because people want to know where they stand on important issues in the world, such as what is their plan to fix the economy.  Does she have anything to contribute other than drilling in a protected area?  She did an interview on CNBC and most of what she talked about was drilling in Alaska and how safe it would be....  I want to know how they plan to end the war, fix the economy, reduce the size of government.  So far, they talk like the end of the war is in sight, yet what I have been reading is more like 2013 - that's 5 years away.

  8. The issues will come out during the debates like they are supposed to. The RNC and the DNC is there to energize their base. I think its funny that Obama supporters are talking about issues, since Obama hasnt said 1 thing about them
