garsh, it's a good thing he only cheated on her AND ADMITTED IT FOR NO GOOD REASON when her cancer was in remission otherwise, people might think he's a real jerk....i guess we can give him a pass since he did it when she was cancer free and since the baby isn't his..after all, he said he would be happy to take a paternity test to prove the baby isn't his, that alone proves he is not the father,...right???...it's not his fault she refuses to take the test now that could prove he is innocent...

  1. SUUURE he did. John Edwards, don't let the door hit you in a** on the way out.

  2. if u believe edwards on this than i don't know what to tell ya...do u want to by a bridge??

  3. People only fess up about affairs right before they are about to be caught. It seems a lot of people in politics think they can do what they want as long as they say sorry in the end. Oh sure this man will be president one day NOT. What a jerk.

  4. He may be another in the long line of cheating spouses, but what about the character of the media to break this story when his wife has terminal cancer.  Doesn't she have enough to bear with all her children, and then some media junkies throw this on top of her to bear as she dies from cancer.

Those who broke the stories should have their names publicized for their character is far less the Edwards'.

  5. Nothing satisfies the American people like drama.  And there are a lot of folks who just can't resist a repentant sinner.  I imagine that's what they were going for.  Create all this mass confusion and people will forget everything else that's going on.

  6. Because he really didn't!  She found out about it along with the rest of us.

He's the biggest phony I've ever seen.

flazatty: You pegged it.  But the American public is pretty stupid, and tends to see style over substance.  And they're doing it again with Obama...

  7. Its s*x, its a personal matter now.

Before it was a concern of the American people (only because they have a "thing" about what seems to be very common today, infidelity)

Nobody seemed to have a problem with McCain's conduct or Rudy Giuliani's shameful history

But its now private. so why would they do it to keep you happy?

Divorce is a major part of life today because the inability to forgive mistakes by their perfect partners. (and some really regret that decision later)

  8. I do not believe a word John Edwards says.  What I do not understand is why his wife stays with him.  She should divorce him and be done with him.  If he has cheated once, he has cheated several times.  If she stays with him, she puts her health at serious risk.

Edwards is a totally self-centered arrogant jerk (a trait characteristic of rich Democrats --  Ted Kennedy is another example), and completely unqualified to hold public office.  People should have been able to figure that out when he got a $400 haircut all the while calling himself a representative of the people.

  9. 1) Are you a sociopath? There's this thing called REGRET, and for many people, the only way to get past it is to ADMIT to their wrongdoing. That's probably why he told her.

    2) No, "we" couldn't force them to take a lie detector test. And why do you ******* care? This is great Republican bait, but let's not forget all of the Republican scandals. Affairs happen in both political parties, and they happen all the time in everyday life, too. People make mistakes, and people move past them. Republicans, on the other hand, tend to carry them with them forever.

  10. Who cares when he told her, This is an issue for him and his wife to deal with. Dont Care!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Because he's a scumbag.

  12. Maybe he was actually trying to be honest with her?
