I guess it is to make the ecosystem balanced. God made carnivores like lions, tigers, snakes etc. to control the population of other organisms. He made ticks so that other organisms that feed on ticks have something to eat.

All creatures create by God, their existence and our existence has a purpose. Ticks are tiniest creatures that suck blood which in turn suck any harmful bacterias in the blood
