Wouldn't it have been better enclosed in a steel box behind the rib cage?

  1. Maybe for women to protect themselves if they're being attacked and overpowered by a real a$$hole?  Hehe, no idea really...

  2. another classic example of form follows function.....allows he testicles to move away from the body cavity to cool and move closer to keep warm..part of the thermoregulatory process for maintaining viable sperm, since we are not seasonal breeders

  3. She (god) did not put them in a vulnerable spot.  They evolved to hang in the s*****m so they can thermoregulate.

When they are hot, they drop lower and when it is cold, they pull up closer to the body to keep the sperm warm.

  4. Not sure if you want a actual answer but it is so natural variation and mutation can occur, some which will be beneficial and some which may not for off-spring.  This is opposite to females who have their oocytes protected because the eggs they are given at birth are  finite and eventually run out, thats when menopause occurs.  This is unlike men who have unlimited germ cells which reproduce to produce unlimited sperm for life.

  5. The optimum temperature for sperm production is generally 4-5 degrees F below body temperature hence the testes are held outside of the body cavity where it is cooler.

  6. because the testicles have to be outside of our body to keep the temperature low for optimal sperm production....it would be nice not to have to worry sbout them being kicked or hit with a ball or something.

  7. ummm maybe its a lesson. Always protect your goods
