  1. hodges is an idiot, and always will be, but he deserves 2 weeks.  slater (& melbourne) are the leagues favourites so they can almost get away with murder.  Why do you think that the league will not punish melbourne for their tackling style?

  2. I no

  3. I agree with roostem. Whether he swears, sledges or abuses a referee vocally or physically, it is not on. Are referees protected species? Maybe not but the type of behaviour shown by Hodges can escalate to what we see in soccer.

Once that starts to happen, who would want to be a referee, no referee no game.

  4. in his defense he says (the gesture) is how he cheers home a racehorse, i didn't watch the game so I'm thinking he may have copped a head knock prior to the incident, leading him to think he was at the races, maybe doomben or eagle farm!

  5. I can see Hodges fustration when he made his hand/arm gesture, I do believe he needed to be disciplined, maybe a fine, but not two weeks.  The crime needs to fit the punishment, and that just got blown way out of proportion.  The judiciary need to liven up, and punish those appropriately.

  6. This is absolutely ridiculous. nrl has got it completely wrong, getting some players of the hook, and hanging others for similiar offences. In this case they did not believe that hodges did what he did to a playmate and not at the refree. Cann't they nrl see that?

  7. this is a good question...

i cant believe that slater only got 1 week after he threw about 8 punches.. i have nothing against slater at all but only gettin 1 week suspension and hodges gets 2 weeks for a gesture to the ref???

nrl dusnt know what they are doing lately and same as the refs.

if slater only gets 1 week then i say hodges gets let off with a warning at max.

  8. The judiciary has shown it is all right to assault a referee as (Cronulla forward) Paul Gallen did to referee Shayne Hayne last week.  It was clear that Gallen grabbed a fistful of Hayne's jumper but nothing happened. And it is ok 4 some one 2 step on some ones face, as long as they make it look like a accident, despite alot of evidence suggesting it was no accident

It is also all right to verbally abuse a referee and use foul language, as Michael Crocker did in Melbourne against the Warriors.

And it is OK for a player to give the ref a mouthful, which was heard on national TV in the Monday night match in Newcastle.

But you can't be non-aggressive and not use foul language like Justin. That deserves a suspension

Wat a fu..kin joke the judiciary system is

  9. for again showing what an idiot he is
