Anytime you answer a controversial question, no matter what the answer is you will get thumbs down.

You got 4 thumbs-ups...Don't even pay any attention to it. People use the thumbs down for all different reasons. I've gotten thumbs-down on answering things like, "What's your favorite color?" I also feel that some people just scroll through and give all thumbs-downs. I don't understand the reason behind it, but whatever.

Also, a neutral answer could get more because it's neutral. People on both sides disagree with you. :)

Really, don't worry about it. Some people are just...mean I guess. Don't let it get to you or impact your enjoyment of answering questions.

I think that u were just expressing ur opinion so I dont see why u got thumbs down. Besides its not like u agreed with the woman u were just trying to make others see it from what could be her point of view.

Some people will give a thumbs-down to just about anything--anonymity, I guess.

You could start a thread asking "Do you love your children?" and some wiseacres would still go around giving thumbs down to people who answered "yes."

i honestly think alot of people give others thumbs down because they think it will help them be chosen as best answer. i get them all the time for stupid stuff.

u shouldn't be giving thumbs down for giving a totally reasonable answer

people just want to be chosen best answer so they can get more points, so thats prob y they did that
