Why did I get 88 answers when I ask these 2 questions?

If Obama is white or Jewish and I got tons of responses? Race issue is very much alive and kicking.

We can't overlook the fact that for the first time in american history a person with obvious african heritage has a chance to become president  showing that this country is a land of opportunity.But you also cannot legislate a persons feelings and attitude. We have had our rights to free speech taken away by restricting our words and being labeled as a racist if we use them. For many of us that grew up from the forties, words we use are not meant to be racist, merely descriptive, and I get tired of trying to describe a person using all the hyphenated ,polite terms.Race should be an issue to this degree, some people will not accept a minority, real or near to represent the values we place on ourselves, and have to decide if that person of heritage can truly represent us. A black man is labeled an "Uncle Tom" by black members of our country if he is like my choice, Colin Powell.So they don't accept a minority member if he seems to be a good choice of a black candidate and not "be" one of them.

Obama is the one that inflamed the race issue.  I have a funny name and I don't look like the other Presidents on the dollar........Hangs with Rev. Wright and has all Black body guards of his choosing.  Has played the race card for sympathy and to adorn the Black voters that he is all for them.  So look at what he has brought up and ask yourself had he not he wouldn't have gotten 90% of the Black vote and white sympathy votes.

of course this place, and america overall, is still viruently racist.  spend a little time on this site and it becomes very obvious.  and depressing.  i was stunned to see how bad it is with people on this forum.  sickening.
