I issued a claim with a seller for $300.00. The claim closed but I only got $200.00. How can I get the rest. I tried to call my Sony Visa Credit Card company but they said I had to get refund from Paypal. Is it possible to get the rest back?

  1. Not from paypal. For some sellers (its marked in the listing) paypal only covers $200. If you have not yet paid your Visa credit card you might be able to dispute it in writing, try sending Visa a certified letter explaining what the issues are and why they should issue a $100 charge back on paypal. It is worth a try.

I only deal with sellers that have paypal coverage for less than what I'm buying.

  2. yes, hunt down paypal

  3. If the monies were paid directly to your paypal account, you had to open the claim with paypal, not your credit card company.  Contact Paypal on the phone.  Tell them you need the money urgent.

The same happened to me about 3 months ago,  I bought baby formula on Ebay and never received it.

I opened a claim with paypal online, but the process takes about 8 weeks to get your monies back.  So I called them on the phone and explained my situation that I never the money asap to buy my baby formula.  I got my money back in 2 weeks.  If you paid trought paypal, your money is insured.
