Why did I get a violation notice? Does making comments along with the question mean u're chatting?

Why when I asked a question and added comments about it did I get a violation notice & the question was deleted because they call it chatting? Haven't you seen this before? Will I get a violation for asking more than 1 question? What are your thoughts on this?

whoever decides what is a violation obviously had PMS or some similar thing affecting their decision

I too have had a violation notice for no apparent reason, I would like to see some firm guidelines posted on this subject so that posters can avoid falling foul of the rules
