Why did I get my Period twice this month?

Okay. So this month I had my period around Sep. 3rd. Which seemed like a regular period but now Sep.16th I have a second period with UNBEARABLE cramps. These cramps are from when I wake up to when I go to sleep. Also the period it self the blood does not look unusual an light red color and its not to heavy either. Why is it like this? I am on BirthControl and am sexualy active.

you could be pregnant ,and this might be a miscarrage you should see a docor asap
