Why did I lose my top contributor status?

Question

I have been answering questions everyday. I lostit once when I wasn't active for about a month but I don't understand why I was on the "top" list yesterday, and I am gone today.

Same thing happened to me yesterday and it bothered me at first ... then I thought, "this is ridiculous .... I didn't care about it in the first place".  I don't want that status to motivate my answers .... or to determine how much time I spend on here.  They probably did us both a favor.  I would rather answer a few questions now and then when I think I actually have something to share.  Feel free to email me and I will send you a special "badge" just for you   :)
