Why did Israel kidnap Iranian diplomats in Lebanon?

Iranians in Lebanon? what did they do there? maybe passing orders to Hezbollah from their masters in Iran?

Not that I'm familiar with the incident (link please?), but since Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers, Israel could have retaliated by capturing Hezbollah key personnel.

Israel did not kidnap Iranian diplomats in Lebanon.

The four diplomats were captured in an area of Lebanon (Barbara, North Lebanon) which does not support Iran, and was in many ways in support of the Israelis help against the Palestinian armed militias. They were captured by a group of armed militants who were suspicious of the diplomats rtavelling in this area.

Now, some say they were killed right away. Others say the militia involved handed the diplomats to Israel where they remain till the day.

I am sure they are still imprisoned inside those wonderful Israeli prisons that the US provides money so unsparingly, leading Israel right on top on the prisoners/citizens country chart, worldwide.

I agree with many of the users here that Israel needs a lot of effort to join our modern community.

Time-wise Israel is still in the Middle-ages, with the exception of some Jewish spies stealing US military tech and trying to replicate it under different ...credentials in some labs of theirs.

Because the people who are in power in Israel are a bunch of thugs and criminals. Their army acts like a lawless gang attacking politicians and diplomats, they're worse than the Mafia. Those 4 Iranian diplomats were kidnapped when Beirut was under the occupation of the Zionist army-militia.  They operate using terror, they think that by kidnapping politicians and terrorizing their neighbors they're going to achieve their goals. God Bless the angels of Hezbollah for giving those thugs a good kick and throwing their imperial plans for Lebanon into the garbage bin of history.

IF they did it was done so they can be used as bargaining tools, the Israeli pilot Roan Arahd is held by Iran.

Israel was not thrown out, they left, we always start shooting in the midst of a peace process so later we can claim we won
