  1. he was upset with his performance in the games. i don't really blame him i guess, can you imagine after running your heart out, immediatly have to answer the questions of a nosy reporter asking you why you did so poorly. i understand the media's job is to get the athletes opinions and reactions to their performance but come on, they don't even let them catch their breath before shoving the camera and microphone in their faces with stupid questions.

  2. I totally agree with you, not only did he not acknowledge the crowd, his fans or the announcer when his name was announced his name, he also was really rude to the reporter.  I honestly felt bad for the guy asking the questions, all Jeremy had to say was NO COMMENT..who cares about how everyone is criticizing him for the change, he is an Olympic athlete, when you put yourself in the public eye, the public has the right to know the truth, because as we all know, if we don't have the truth something will get made up and be portrayed as the truth.

  3. Ya know what, I lost some respect for him after that race.  I know he's upset and all.  But at least congratulate your team mates.  I don't know if it was just the coverage, maybe they didn't show him walking over to Merritt to shake his hand.  But from the videos it looked like he just stormed off the track and brood by himself, while his other team mates were celebrating the sweep.

  4. after being hounded by the press and commentators about his "bad decision in changing coaches when he was winning", I think Wariner is tired of answering the same question that may have simply been a personal decision that is no one's business.  I don't blame him as I am also tired of the same old question.

  5. Because he's a jerk like most his type. I was glad to see him "lose". I wished he had actually lost, I bet there's a lot of participants that would have been exuberant in getting an Olympic medal.

  6. Those interviewers have not been very kind to some of the athletes. Sometimes making them break down in tears with their inane questions. Now I do think he went a little overboard but I'm kinda glad somebody put one in there place.

  7. These articles (and responses) are helpful. It seems the reporter has an history of giving insensitive questions and questioning someones choice of a personal coach is inappropriate.

  8. Look everybody is criticizing Jeremy for the stupid decision of changing his coach. In the race; he got pulverized by another American. It's pretty obvious that he is embarrassed.
