Why did Joe Lieberman sell out to the evil conservatives?

I am ashamed of Joe Lieberman....his speech was terrible. Did he forget that he ran against Bush in 2004? Was he paid to speak at the RNC?

He should be ashamed of himself, first for turn coating on his party and second for lying and saying he wouldn't bash Obama in his speech but he mentioned Obama's name twice in a negative light.

He ran against Bush in 2000, however don't let the facts get in the way of your rant.  Maybe Joe cares about the country and knows that we have 2 choices between a principled man and an empty suit.  Shows how brave the independent Lieberman is.

I don't fully believe that he sold out.  He is appealing to his new base which is comprised of Republicans and a strong Jewish vote from both parties.  Since he ran for senator as an independent, this is his political base.  His speech at the Republican convention makes sense in this light.  The Democrats have moved away from him with their stance on the Iraq war.  I have the suspicion that Lieberman's position with respect to the war was influenced, in part, by his support for Israel.  I assume he received a large financial backing from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.  Does anyone out there know if this is true?  Thanks.

Somebody actually watched the Rep Convention?  and listened to speeches?   That in itself is news.  What a yawn.
