The sweat was pouring off of him and he could barely talk. He also sounded frustrated and depressed. He said no Nationwide next week.

  1. Been pulling double duty for last 2 weeks. All that flying around and racing is going to get you tired.

  2. if he wants to win the cup championship then he will have too stop racing so many other races..

  3. Maybe because he just hit the wall at 150 or so MPH.  Yep..  That would make you look like that.

  4. I agree with WInter Glory, he needs to put full concentration on his cup ride. Driving in all 3 series may have sounded like a fun idea to him, but it's causing him to lose focus on the cup series.

  5. I think that he is spreading himself out too thin and needs to pick a series and focus.  Winning Cup races should become and remain his main concern, not beating the Nationwide guys.  Besides that, those guys deserve a class of their own so some other guys can share the limelight.  I could see pushing yourself for money issues, but this isn't and never will be an issue for him.

I think maybe Kyle is just tired of spinning out and just needs to realize this.  He'll be OK.  Shrub is great.  Rowdy, but great!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Because it was his second race of the day. And frustrated yes, depressed? I don't think so.

No Nationwide next week, or possibly for the rest of the season, which is what I'm hoping for. I'd rather him concentrate on his cup ride.

  7. I'm sure he probably was tired. Can't be easy to run 2 races in one day on top of all the running around and flying from city to city.

  8. I believe he might be starting to feel the effects of trying to run all these races that are spread across the country. I'm glad to hear that he isn't going to run Nationwide next weekend, what with Sprint being at Infineon and Nationwide being in Milwaukee.

And I highly doubt he fell asleep or blacked out. More likely he pulled a little bit below the white line, got into the dirt and stuff down on the apron, and just lost it.

  9. i think he was still dizzy, and a little dazed. if you watched the "speeds" shown on replay, he hit that wall on the drivers side doing well over 100 mph.  add that to two cup practices, as well as qualifying and running in the truck race today, and it has to take some toll.  as for frustrated and depressed, who wouldn't be?  he just took himself out of a race he was clearly dominating most of the night...

and did he fall asleep or blackout? i highly doubt it.  rowdy's been the best at taking himself out for a long time now - he has to every now and then to keep things "even."

    ;-)

and i do believe I WIN - in an earlier question about "who would spin rowdy first" i was the first to guess "rowdy himself."

    what do i win?

    ;-)

  10. Kyle has been fighting the flu pretty bad per Speed Week but chose to drive........

he was really under the weather, and almost stepped out of the car, but at the last minute decided to run it himself...

no, he wont run next week, he wants to get well..

  11. Kyle Busch got served!

  12. He supposedly has the best car control of any driver ever but he continually crashes when he is all alone.

I think he is always on the brink of crashing but he uses the rest of the field to bounce off of so he gets away with it.

The Nationwide races will be better without him.

  13. He probably threw a major temper tantrum after he wrecked AGAIN by himself. He has more talent in his pinky than most drivers but he takes himself out alot.

  14. Kyle was probably tired because he not only had two Cup practices today, but the truck and the Nationwide race today. I don't know about you but that would make me pretty tired as well. Don't worry though, Kyle will be well rested for his victory lane celebration tomorrow.
