Why did Marcus Camby and Baron Davis go to the Clippers?

do they have a future in the playoffs?!

camby was traded from the nuggets to l.a. which camby wasn't happy about. baron opted out of his contract and left golden state because they wouldn't give him the contract he was looking for. so he signed up because the clippers would and elton brand was urging him too. things looked great until elton decided to bolt to philly. and corey maggette left too... since then the clips have added ricky davis, and jason williams. i believe they be a better team then they were last year, but not a playoff team ihis season. maybe the following year when everyone is use to each others game they'll make it.

sad thing is the clippers wont make the playoffs. look the clippers shouldnt have made these deals if elton brand wasnt coming back. baron davis  is a grewat pg, can score, pass, and is a leader but the reality is is that he gets hurt alot and plus w/ his age he wanted more than what the warriors were willing to give up. as for camby the nuggets were looking to shake up the roster after another collapse in the playoffs. the clippers didnt improve their team they just made it more decent to watch alittle bit. i say a 37-45 record next year.

marcus got traded for capspace and davis went for the money, maybe fighting for the 8th spot

well BD went because the warriors wouldnt give him the absurd amount of money he wanted especially since he is an injury prone PG. so since baron is an LA guy, he went back to LA and joined the clippers because they were foolish enough to hive him a long term deal with guaranteed money. lets see how the clippers are when BD is 35 and making 13 mill a year sitting on the bench being injured.

as for camby, the nuggets had to cut salary so they traded him to LA for the rights to switch 2nd round picks. in other words, the nuggets owner is cheap and doesnt like to overspend more than he has to.

Baron Davis went to the Clippers because he figured he would get hurt in a contract year.  He opted out of a contract paying him $17MM for the one year left on his contract.  He also saw the writing on the wall that the Warrior's would not be his team after this coming year.

Marcus Camby got traded by Denver to clear salary cap space.

The Clippers have no future in the NBA playoffs.
