  1. McCain believes that people lack integrity and will simply vote for someone due to their race or gender.

Moderate (below) They support Obama for the same reason they supported Bill Clinton and John Kerry in record numbers.

  2. Because like him she has 20 times more qualifications than Obama. Her executive experience alone assures her of that. And he knew it was time for a qualified woman to be Vice President. Unlike Obama who threw Hillary "under the bus".

  3. because she brings a significant amount of experience to the position

    because she is a reformer

because she is courageous and not afraid to take on her own party

becuase the is a hard worker

because she will do whats right

because she does more then talk (obama)

McCain concluded she would "shake up the system" and was "a maverick," qualities he believed Lieberman would have brought to the ticket. But she also would appeal to conservatives -- which Lieberman most certainly would not have done.

Chi Guy, why do you think african americans are voting in record numbers for Obama? Do you think the Obama campaign doesn't exploit his race to get votes?

    Failed.

  5. The make a nice ticket:  Captain Creak and Crunch and Alaska Barbie.

  6. McCain had a choice between getting someone that looked good in photographs or getting someone that has proven to be a trustworthy decision maker with leadership skills that have been proven within millions of peoples lives.

  7. mccain choose palin because he thinks he is going to get 95% of the woman vote this year i just look at him and LOL.

  8. Hmm, I see you removed your other question. Did you finally realize how much of an idiot you sounded like? Hunting a moose is in no way the same as aborting a baby. God that still pisses me off.

  9. Because it was John McCain himself has said that the most important test of a vice presidential candidate is whether that person is fully qualified to be president on short notice.

wait a minute, that doesn't make since.  Given what McCain said, one would think the would have not chosen Palin.

  10. I've been asking myself that since he announced his pick.  He's given the election to Obama.  I've tried to support this loser from the beginning (my choice was Romney), then he goes and picks an unknown to be his VP?  Romney has a great record on economics and fiscal responsibility.  Even if he'd picked Pawlenty, I would have been happy.  This guy throws his party under the bus to pander to women that may not even vote for him anyway?  What happened the Republican party?

  11. because palin has alot of experience. yesterday obamas speaker said she was inexperienced, but the facts were she was and she was a reformer, so obama stepped in and apologized saying he did not authorize that statement. go figure

  12. McCain is a maverick. Study his work. All his life he has worked to make things better. During the election McCain treated Clinton with the respect that any man woudl treat a lady. How did/does Obama treat Hillary? McCain suggested to Obama that he select Clinton as his running-mate, yet he chose and old old Washingtonite (part of the change promise) as his VP. Mavericks have to throw the dice and McCain did 'cause he really thinks women deserve to be treated better.

  13. Mostly because he's desperate.

It is remarkable that someone who has repeatedly emphasized experience in this campaign named an inexperienced governor he barely knew to be his No. 2. Whatever you think of the pick, here are six things it tells us about McCain:

  14. Watching the Democrats squirm because they Obama had chosen Biden wasn't enough entertainment, So he picked a qualified hard hitter no nonsense take no c**p female and boy did it work you guys have put a raise in the toilet paper and tissue stocks .

  15. I can give you answers:

    1) McCain is desperate for attention.  He envies the Democratic Party for Obama's nomination changing history and wants the same attention for the GOP by getting a woman to run for VP.

    2) He thinks that because he picked a woman that it will make Hillary supporters vote for him.

    3) He was desperate to find someone who would run with him.  Romney and others wouldn't.  He realized that he was running out of time to decide on this when Obama picked his running mate.

    4) He hopes that by picking Palin, people will forget that he voted against women's interest.  He and Palin would reverse Roe vs. Wade if they had the opportunity.

    5) He thinks that small facts about Palin are enough to satisfy voters.  She was probably the only Republican in any office capacity who happens to have a son going to Iraq so he picked her to try to copycat Joe Biden.

    6) He sees running for President as nothing but a game and waited to see who Obama was going to run with to make a decision.  He met her only once and that was last week.

    7) He also wants to pander to the Christian Right who worships Palin just because she didn't abort her pregnancy when she found out the baby would have Down Syndrome.  So f*cking what!  There are millions of women who believe in abortion rights that do not and would not practice abortion.

    8) He obliviously overlooks things that should disqualify anyone from running for office, such as having military demerits, crashing planes, being implicated in a financial scandal and to some folks, commiting adultery.  This made it easy for him to overlook the fact that Gov. Palin is under investigation.

    9) She is probably the only politician who would openly agree with him on oil drilling.  Everybody else wants to move forward in this country to find more efficient ways to resolve the energy crisis.

    10) And oh, she's one of the boys.  She hunts (like d**k Cheney), belongs to the NRA and sold a jet.  She's also girly, won Miss Alaska 2nd place and was Miss Congeniality. She's the Republican celebrity, just what McCain looked for.
