Why did McCain do THAT ?

I respect John McCain's service to this country as much as anyone. As a brother Viet-Nam vet, I feel his service to our country exemplary. However, getting older, one must expect a greater degree of health problems than when younger. Especially so, since suffered at the hands of his captors for so long. How could he honestly feel that a very experienced governor of a very wealthy state with such a small population could be qualified to handle the affairs of the western world,should he fall ill. I love my country too much to want unqualified people at it's helm. We've had 8 years now of barely qualified people, poor advisers and people who abused what power afforded them. Is McCain making a joke or what ? I don't understand.

McCain is more qualified then Obama...really don't judge him on his age...its not fair...i completely support him, but i respect your opinion

It's funny that McCain picked her because when the liberals whine that she's "unqualified" it automatically means that Obama is also unqualified. Every time they attack her they're attacking Obama as well.

He did it because he had attacked the only person that came close to being a conservative who qualified for the job.  YOUR man, Obama only has 146 DAYS of work in the senate, the rest has been campaigning.  

Your thinly veiled attack against Republicans in general and conservatives in particular didn't go un-noticed though.  I see that your condemnations ended with the Republicans and didn't extend back into the Democratic president.  Especially the one who called YOU, McCain and myself n***s... yes, I'm speaking of your god, Bill Clinton.  Actually, I don't believe that you were a Viet Nam Vet... unless you were one of the draftees and you see this as an ax to grind against this country.  Yea... probably the latter.  Go vote for the racist who hates the United States if you wish.

If it's not.. SHE is going to be vice president and is still more qualified than Obama, who would be president on day 1

Before you ask the question, try learning about his choice. I felt the same way, but the more I learn, the more I like. Just be careful bout your sources-there is a TON of c**p that has appeared in the last 2 days!

Your logic is flawed on several points. First of all, McCain's physician has reported that he is in excellent health. He has melanoma, a type of cancer, but it is not at all as serious as some liberals are reporting it to be.

Sarah Palin benefits John McCain in several ways:

--> She is a strong conservative, while his political leanings are more towards "moderate".

--> Obama has frequently (incorrectly) referred to McCain as an elitist; Sarah Palin has a typical "hockey mom" bio and there are fewer politicians with more humble origins.

--> Palin's energy policy is notable, and coming from Alaska will give her an edge in that field. Which she will promptly lose on foreign policy debate questions, but that's irrelevant.

--> Obama has criticized McCain on the grounds that his top analysts have connections to lobbyists. Sarah Palin ran for governor of Alaska on an ethics reform platform, and is well-known for exposing corruption in the Republican Party in Alaska.

--> As a woman, Sarah Palin can effectively pick up many ex-Clinton supporters.

I, too, am flabbergasted that he could make such a DUMB decision. But, he did it, and he's gotta live with it now.
