Was it about looks?

Palin is an ex-beauty queen. His first wife, and his current wife are both ex-beauty queens.

He left his first wife for his Mistress Cindy because after his first wife was in a car accident he said she was no longer attractive.

So, is Palin, McCain’s eye candy? A ex-beauty queen with a degree in journalism.

He didn't.  He chose someone without baggage from "the system" that has produced a completely unremarkable slate of candidates.  Someone without D.C. ties, without obligations to insiders, and without fear of trying to do what is right.  If the fact that she's a woman means she's a hooter's girl, it's a sad day for american society.
