  1. He may have thought, as I do, that this is not a responsibility of the Federal government.

  2. s*x ed has been in schools since the dark ages when I was in school and that was before the pill. Women today have too many ways to keep from getting pregnant and too many ways to get rid of them when they do. They seem to think it is their right to do what they want, so let them, just don't expect me to want to pay taxes to keep them from getting pregnant. I wouldn't vote for McCain for dogcatcher, but he is right on this. If you don't want to have kids, don't do something to cause it.

  3. That's a republican for you.  They're against abortion, for the death penaly and war by the way, and don't wanna take the time or money to educate kids on safe s*x.  Why you ask.  because they live in a dreamworld where teens don't have s*x because they should wait til marriage.

  4. This is a great source:

McCain: Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education and contraceptives. Vote to adopt an amendment to the Senate's 2006 Fiscal Year Budget that allocates $100 million for the prevention of unintended pregnancies.

    Date: 03/17/2005

Doing the research yourself isn't hard.  I imagine Planned Parenthood had some stuff on him too.

  5. HERE IS THE SOLUTION TO TEENAGE PREGNANCY - HAVE THE GIRL PUT A ASPIRIN BETWEEN HER KNEES AND HOLD IT THERE WHILE HAVING s*x.

  6. The bill is typical liberalism.

The government's job is to protect it's citizens and not educate them, nor provide contraceptives which is against the morals of many Americans.

In addition, there was too much pork in the bill which provided funds for other liberal projects.  McCain is totally against pork and being the 94th most liberal senator he would vote against it and in doing so earned the respect and admiration of many Americans

If contraceptives are to be given to teenagers, they should be done so with the parent approval and by the parents and not some liberal politicians whose morals are not that high.

  7. He likes to control women & what better way than to keep them barefoot & pregnant & show them that to succeed in life you have to look llike a Barbie doll.

  8. I really don't know enough about it to give you an informed answer but I would guess that he believes there are more efficient ways to reduce teen pregnancy than the ones specified in that particular bill. They word those bills very specifically from what I hear. Try google-ing it

  9. Republicans only want to fund the 'just say no' types of education with no talk of contraceptives. They feel talking about contraceptives will encourages teens to want to have s*x.

  10. Because the government should not be paying for this. True republicans believe that private organizations and other should pay for things like this.

  11. Because it is not the function of the government to keep kids from s******g.  What in the h**l would that money be wasted on?  Free condoms?  Pills?  How to have safe s*x videos?  Responsibility is a learned trait and it's best learned at home.  While I'm not against s*x ed in schools there is absolutely no way that much money is going to make more of a difference.  My tax dollars are gonna be feeding deadbeat teens and their offspring, regardless.

  12. Because government has no business spending the money of productive people to do the job of parents.

  13. Maybe he thought those who were for it should pass the hat instead of taking the money from taxpayers by force?

That would certainly be my call on it, but with McCain one never knows...

  14. Because 75 million was to be spent on pork bellies!

  15. That is one area I do believe conservatives and christians are clueless.

If you are pro-life then you have to understand that you have to educate youth about contraceptives.

To believe otherwise is illogical and hopeless.

The just saying NO approach does not work in any realm of reality.

However, can horny, drunken, teens be taught anything?
