Why did Mccian choose a bad VP?

her only advantage is she is a she. she was a mayor of a town and ran it into 20 million dollars worth of debt then ran for govener. Why wuld Mccain he choose her.

to me i think he doesnt wanna win. but thats just me. lol wuldnt that be a shocker to his supporters ''i am aculy gona vote for obama'' not gona happen cuz hed prollu get killed by his own party. but it wuld b funny.

He didn't.  He chose someone who has shown that she can handle a state and whip it into line by making necessary and sometimes unpopular changes.  I don't know where you are getting your information.  She has a 90% approval rating in her state and that wouldn't be the case if she had done a poor job.

    McCain doesn't want to win?  Just watch and see him win and then the laugh will be on you!!

  3. Running something into debt is nothing new, both democrats and republicans are excellent at that when they want to. Palin breaks barriers, she's the "gotcha" surprise for everybody.

  5. he chose her because oboma cant say anything bad about her and, all of the people that were going to vote for hillary just switched their votes to mccain. and she is with the NRA, so every body with a gun will vote for mccain and his runing mate

  6. yeah, I like both Obama and McCain, but Obama certainly picked a WAY better VP then McCain, no one knows this chick and she hasn't done anything outstanding to be president.

    In fact if McCain died in office, is she even capable?

  8. She is pro good government. She doesn't care what party the crooks belong to. She treats them all with equal disdain. I think a lot of people are getting their views on her from ex gov. Murkowski whom she has turned the tables on in more than one occasion, and who is her avowed enemy. In fact she has made more than one enemy in upholding the interests of the tax payers. I was totaly surprised by her selection. I had my money on Romney because I did not think the repukes could ever think beyond the box. Hooray for McCain and the republicans for this choice.

    The Republicans and the good old boy network had better watch their own butts if they win. She will be watching them like a hawk..  

  9. he chose her because obama showed that he is not racist by making a white guy his VP, so mccain shot back at him by choosing a female VP so that he could lure hillary clintons voters over to his side.

  11. actual its more of a coward move if u ask me. Like you said the best perks is that the vp is a she. He could have easily not only chosen better candidates but more experienced to. But obama didn't do so well himself with his vp. I mean 12% of population didn't even know who he was til now.

  19. she governed Alaska into balanced budgets and a budget surplus, cut taxes and raised revenue and fought against special interests.

    At two years governorship experience, she is more experienced than even the chosen one Obama and is not affiliated, as Obama is, with terrorists, corrupt politicians of Illinois, Rezco, etc.  

    So she is Obama's age, and has more leadership experienced and is not beholden to the special interests as is Obama. I think a good choice

  22. John McCain's choice for his Vice Presidential running mate is much wiser than that made by all those hundreds of people at the Democrat convention for their Presidential candidate.

  23. He did not choose her. She was chosen for him. If anyone thinks differently than you are incredibly naive. She is for big oil. A fundamentalist Christian. Which means she will submit to the authority of a man. She was chosen because she is female. Which is insulting. Also because she will do as she's told and not make waves. Then what if something happens to McCain. A likely scenario. Will this be capable of holding office? Not in my view. The whole thing is d**n disgusting. Republicans should be outraged!

  24. It's called pandering.  McCain thinks with such a politically correct appointment that women will be fooled into voting for him.  Some women will, of course, but most, I hope, will see it for the cynical and desperate political manouver it really is.

She has flaws as does everyone, but she was chosen because she gives him social-conservative street cred and will diffuse the advantages of having Biden as the VP (he was picked because he is a scrapper, and also has foreign policy experience) .  Can street fighter political axeman like Biden really go after the former beauty queen mother of 2?

    To balance out his "stodgy old white guy" characterization.

    To keep his base happy by choosing someone who feels strongly about pro-life, creationism, fiscally conservative decision making and states rights.
