Why did Nadal bite the trophy after he won it?

i seen this before when some one has won a medel i thought at first he was kissing it and i thought it was just a one time thing when iseen it before, but is it something ppl actually do ....bite it?

  1. It's something HE'S done with all his other trophies.  I'm guessing the significance is like biting a coin - to make sure it's real.  :)


  2. well if you  haven't noticed it's just a Nadal thing when ever he gets a first place trophy he always bites it. Nobody really knows why it's just the Nadal way............

  3. he always bite his trophy. he did that also with his french open trophy

  4. That is his "signature shot" now when winning. He actually started doing this at The French Open. He is being unique I suppose rather then just kiss it as most others do.
