I'm not sure if he always does this but he took 1 sip from the first bottle and another sip from a second water bottle lol.

And does anyone know what that liquid/gel thing is that he always eats? It's in a tube and he squeezes it up.

  1. Rafael's always drank his water like that as far as I can remember. He has a lot of superstitions with the water being one of them. Also, after he drinks the water he always makes sure the bottles are facing a certain direction.

And the gel stuff is just for energy.

  2. He's probably switching them up to throw off people who might try to poison him. He must have just watched Jet Li's Fearless.

  3. Yeah, it's all about superstition. Apparently.

The liquid gel is obviously an energy supplement.

  4. Yeah, I wondered the same thing and I figured so both would lower equally. When he would drink in a hurry after the match starts later maybe he wouldn't want one bottle very full and the other one emptier - but both the same -- just grab either one and their both at the same level -- easier to predict how it will flow to his face.

Maybe it helps keep the temperatures equal, too if they empty at the same rate. ..just my guesses.
