I know everyone has got their reasons for going wherever / doing whatever.... but i was just wondering. Since she isn't doing any College Sports/College Gymnastics, what is it that she likes about that school? I have heard little about the school and am just wondering what it is about it?

  1. Close to her home/gym probably.

  2. Hi,

Try http://www.free-college-videos.com as there's loads of information about colleges, courses, current students views of colleges and social life, accomodation info, recommended college majors etc etc.

    I hope that helps.

  3. It's close to home and it's a very well respected school.  (Plus I'm sure she got a pretty sweet scholarship there.)

  4. Number one reason is that its in Dallas.  Additionally its a great school.  Private and very expensive but prestigious.   My sister went there for undergrad, the Northwestern for Law school.

  5. close to home probably.  It's in the same area as she is

  6. oh  i know someone who goes to that school..

well i guess it's in close proximity to home for her and as for the rest you'd just have to research and see what academic programs the school has that grasped her interests. ...maybe they have a good gymnastics program or she got a good scholarship.

  7. A private university of 11,000 students near the center of Dallas, SMU offers strong undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through seven schools — in the humanities and sciences; business; the performing, visual, and communication arts; engineering; education and human development; law; and theology.

Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and nearly 90 foreign countries, and represent diverse economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

SMU itself is a gateway to the global community, offering more than 20 study-abroad programs as well as a unique campus in Northern New Mexico on the site of a historic fort and 13th-century Indian pueblo.

The University's 10 libraries house the largest private collection of research materials in the Southwest.

The internationally acclaimed Meadows Museum houses one of the finest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain.

As part of SMU's focus on leadership, the Tate Distinguished Lecture Series and Hart Global Leaders Forum bring national and world leaders to campus for lectures and interaction with students.

SMU is one of the few universities to have a voting student member of its Board of Trustees. More than 200 campus organizations provide other opportunities for involvement.

SMU was recently ranked in Forbes magazine as the 13th best university in the United States.

She may have chosen SMU for any one of the reasons noted above.
