  1. It was gorgeous and she liked it! She won the gold medal in it, so it can't have done her bad lol =D

  2. ahaha i was just watching her. i suppose she wears pink because she believes its her signature style

  3. Personal preference, I suppose.

Most of the gymnasts wore a different outfit than what they had for the team competitions.

  4. Pink is her trademark color, she always wears it.

  5. The answer is marketing.  Plain and simple.

    Go to her website: http://www.nastialiukinbyaai.com/display...

"signature color" - don't be naive.  I bet you $100 that the "pink" Nastia Liukin Barbie will be ready to hit the shelves in time for Christmas.

Be proud of the country that you, and your father, have been given so many opportunites in, and wear our colors.  Ok, so you want to be different then Shawn Johnson, but I bet they made that uniform in white and blue.

  6. In the all-around, the gymnasts are not required to wear the official "team" outfit.

She wore the pink one because it is her "signature" color, and it is much more flattering with her fair coloring than the brighter red one (like the one worn by Shawn Johnson).

  7. Obviously it's an individual competition, so she probably either like the color or wanted to stand out and she did. A lot of the other girls had red, white and blue. You certianly noticed her. It still had USA on it.

  8. Since it was all-around and they didn't have to match, I'll bet she just wanted to show a little individuality.  It still said USA on it.

What I want to know is, why were the Chinese girls wearing blue eye shadow with their red and gold outfits.  Very odd looking.

  9. Cause she can.

Yay! She Won The Gold medal!

  10. I don't know, but why do you care?

I'm a guy.  I thought it was cute, but also really cool and sporty looking.  That's all that counts, right?

  11. I had the same question.  I can understand that, not being a team competition, participants were not required to be dressed identically . . . however, the two Chinese girls were still in red and gold - not lime green or hot pink.

I thought that the "wear" had to be officially approved by the sponsoring association (like the swimmers) - while I can understand they'd have some variety in available designs.

I couldn't understand, since the two leotards seemed identical otherwise, they weren't available in white, red and royal blue (which I think would have been beautiful on Ms. Liukin - "signature" or no "signature").

  12. My daughter asked the same question, and I told her that the outfits were the same in pattern and sequins, etc, but with different colors. As was noted, they both said USA.

  13. It's part of her signature line of gymnastics equipment and clothing, all of which are pink-themed.

  14. Not a big fan of pink.

On one hand, I think that it is slightly disrespectful not to wear red, white, blue or some combination thereof. After all, this is the Olympics and she is representing America. However, if you think about it, isn't America built on diversity and individuality? Isn't it great that we live in a country that doesn't get hung up on such trivial things?

  15. Because she likes it and it looks good on her.

  16. Because she is very feminine and beautiful and gorgeous.
