They developed different cultures based upon what their environment was like.  They would need to develop different techniques and ways to survive making them different in that aspect.  They would also find different foods and resources to utilize ect.

the first native americans were nomads, or  people who do not live in one place. as the centuries passed, the groups started to change. they spoke different languages. they ate different foods. they made medicines frome different wild plants. they developed different beliefs. slowly, they began to form different cultures!
