For the 1992 season, New Era Cap Company (maker of the MLB on-field cap) out the MLB logo on the back of their 59Fifty cap. Not only that but the under-visor was changed from green to grey.

  1. probably advertising reasons

  2. d**n good question bro, i have a few hats from back in the day that have the green under bill and no MLB logo on the back. U might be better served to write a letter to New Era and state u have been a long time wearer of their product and would like to know.
