Why did Obama Remove the Flag From his Campaign Plane?

Obama replaced the Colors of the United States of America with his campaign 'O' symbol.

Why was this measure taken?

Symbols are for the symbol-minded.

Do you wear an American flag T-shirt EVERY day? No. I'm sure that sometimes you take off that American Flag T-shirt and beer hat to wear something from Wal-mart or something with the Abercrombie logo on it. How is that any different?

edit: Dude...get over it. So you have an American flag on your car. I have an American flag on my THONG! Which is worse: an American flag on a thong, or an obama logo on an airplane? If the flag has been degraded enough to be on my underwear what's so bad about it being painted over?

Because he intends to change the American flag, and that is part of his change.

For the same reason McCain removed the flag from his plane. Obama kept the red, white, and blue colors.....while McCain went to dark blue and yellow.

the same reason why he took the american flag pin off of his jacket and now claims to keep it in his pocket. Mrs. Obama didn't find a reason to be proud of america for the second time in her adult life yet. Maybe when she does they will put the flag back on their plane and their jackets.

Here's an article about that and pictures showing that there is an American flag on Obama's plane. There's also pictures of McCain's plane...with a big "McCain" emblazoned across it... but I don't see an American flag.
