  1. Because the media would have focused on that and nothing else.


  2. Wright was Obama's mentor and inspiration, and coined the phrase that became the title of Obama's self indulgent book on, himself, of course.

    Had Wright been given a chance to make a speech, he would have brought the house down, for, Wright hates America and everything about it, as, he has made very clear, and, is in alignment with the Democratic party.

    I personally think it would have been awesome to have Rev. Wright get up on the stage and give the invocation at the DNC. He could have gotten up on stage and started screaming, "God D*mn America! That's what the Bible says! God d*mn America!"
