Why did Passa Passa stop?

Was it banned like in Grenada? Or did it just go out of style? I heard it's all about Dutty Fridayz now. So what happened?

Maybe in greneda not Jamaica  passa passa is like a street party it some country passa passa stop because of the killing and thing but not here in jamaica

No it still goes on, it's not as popular as it once was though and when the area is under curfew  then it cannot be held so that's why it wasn't on a few weeks back and dutty fridaze was shut off because of a police shooting some moths back and now that it's on again it's not as heavily patronized since it now shuts off at 2am SHARP. We Jamaicans have parties every night of the week so we just talk about whatever is hot at the time right now it all about; early mondays (stand pipe) then off to uptown mondays (savannah plaza) then hot mondays (hagley park road) on tuesdays it's gully tuesdays (Stand pipe) then off to lime lite tuesdays (West Kingshouse road) then wednesdays its weddy wednesdays (stonelove HQ) then it used to be passa passa but ppl just head home now, thursdays it's bembe thursdays (weekenz) then off to asylum and ding dong has a thursday dance over nannyville too and fridays is dutty fridaze (fletcher's land), then myspace saturdays on saturday and links on the beach, passion sundays and rae town sundays on a Sunday. And that's just what's hot and what I know about. I didn't even mention the club scene cuz quad is SOMETIMES hot on a wednesday and escape is a good place to kill some time before going to a big dance and there are various other dances that occur each night of the week...I know I over-answered but i'm passionate about dances lol

It has not stopped. It is still going on each week. Dutty Fridayz is just the new thing that got recently added.
