Why did Pfaltzgraff retire the pattern Avenue Parisienne?

I don't understand why pfaltzgraff would retire the Avenue Parisienne pattern. It doesn't make any sense to me. It was only on the market for a few months. I contacted the company and asked if there was any chance they would consider un-retireing the pattern and expanding on the pattern, but they said it was not likely. If anyone is in the 'know' please let me know.
