  1. Probably because he knew he lost to an inferior player, Nadal is not going to be around for long he gets by on his athleticism alone he does not have a power serve game. So once he gets a little older and his legs no longer can carry his game he will fade.

  2. If Roger cried, he did so because he was disappointed. That's completely understandable. He was going for six wins in a row. I'm sure he didn't like giving up "his" title and trophy. No one likes to lose.

Rafa completely deserved to win though!! He was incredible. Someone above me said that Rafa is inferior to Federer but that is completely untrue. Rafa outplayed Roger yesterday. He also beat him in straight sets at Roland Garros! And he has beaten him every time he's played him there. How can you call THAT inferior?!

    GO RAFA!!!!

  3. he was hurt

  4. Hmmm maybe because he played phenomenal tennis and was so close to winning this match that would have given him 6 in a row and allowed him to defend the title.  There's no shame crying about that. You probably would too.

  5. I do not know if you are looking for a serious answer or just venting your Federer bashing, so I will answer based on reality. Roger, as in the case of many athletes who have just made a tremendous physical effort had a combination of a lot of endorphins and a probably sharp drop in adrenalin after the match was over and so it creates a kind of feeling of let-down for which a common emotional reaction is tears, as we all often see from both winners and losers of an intense athletic competition. By the same token I might ask why did Rafael Nadal cry like a baby who didn't get his way when he wanted it, after he beat the accomplished and obviously difficult to beat Supreme Athlete Roger Federer?!!

  6. Maybe because he wanted this one badly and have the record of winning 6 straight at Wimbledon's and he gave it all he had and still came up short.  As far as Rafa he's only 22 and has time to work on his game to get better on the grass and hard court.

  7. Roger is a darling. I love him more than ever when I see his emotions. I want to hug him like McEnroe did. He is extreme handsome. He has strong shoulders to hold. I see Nadal's arms are nice, but Roger has the better body to hug me.

You could be too skinny to understand.

  8. becuz he doesnt like losing its like tiger woods losing after winning a tournamnent for a couple straight years

  9. Hmm... Pretty sure he didn't cry like a little baby.  He was just upset by the fact that he lost it... nothing more.  Who wouldn't be upset with losing after winning five Wimbledon's in a row?? I mean come on..

Nadal is young.. and Federer's serve is mighty powerful! He'll be back, no doubt about that.  Shoot.. give the guy a break, it was an amazing game.

  10. He just lost for a game that he's well known very goot at, and just blocked from breaking a record. Of course he cried. He's just human. I was so thrilled watching the epic final, and so happy Rafa finally won. But, I think Federer deserves a credit too. He played really good, yet Rafa played better. He respects Rafa as much as Rafa respects him. So, probably he also cried (happily) for the success of his best fellow to win that prestigious title.

  11. After a match like that, why wouldnt he cry. This was the kind of match where you hate to see one lose. A match, a final, that usually fans expect to see being the final. They illustrated top form, talent, and their numbers were huge. Only difference was break of serve, where Nadal lost his serve just once, and Roger just 4 times, in 5 huge sets. That says alot. It certainly took a lot out of both of them, yet they showed why they are clearly the top 2 players in the world. Nadal had me in tears with his impressive win.

  12. Because he's not afraid to be himself, not afraid to be emotional. Fearful people with sticks up their butts are afraid of crying or disdain showing their emotions.  Rafa cried also, so what.

ps- Nadal, as fantastic as he is, is not superior to Roger. He only has a few Grand Slam titles, most of them only on clay and this was the first on grass. So... get your facts straight, then we can take you seriously.

  13. He did not cry like a little baby, I think he handled it pretty well and with grace. It obviously hurt him to lose after winning the Wimbledon champions for five years in a row, so yeah, he's going to be upset, but upset with himself. I can't wait until 2009's Wimbledon, I hope to be in the stands, cheering them on! Congratulations, Rafael Nadal, you deserved it!

  14. Probably because he lost it for himself.  He was 1-13 on break points and he should have won that match.  Lately he was been failing to capitalize on opportunities that the Federer of 2004-2006 would have pounced on!

Let me clarify - I think Federer is near the end of his prime. He will never dominate again, but yesterday's final was still there for him to win.

Federer was up a break in the 2nd set and he inexplicably got his serve broken twice to let Nadal win the set 6-4.

  15. Roger is the true Champion.
