Why did Sarah Palin fly after her water broke?

Sarah Palin deceived the public. She faked a pregnancy. She tried to cover up her teenage daughter's pregnancy. This woman cannot be put anywhere near the White House.

And you got this information where?  She did shows signs of early labor but she's a tough lady and wanted her daughter to be born at home.  What's your strength?

I'm with politica on this one.  She had 4 babies already.  She would have known about how much time she had.  She knows the signs.  In my own experience, my water broke,the next day the Dr. had to induce labor.  Her mother-in-law spoke about how she admired Palin for having the baby after finding out it had down syndrome.

Let me tell you something, I worked in an OB/GYN office for several years and I know my stuff. They STRONGLY discourage you to fly the last trimester especially in the last month. That being it said it can be done.

It can be done....if you are having a normal healthy pregnancy. It can't be done after your water breaks and you have a high risk premature pregnancy. No woman in their right mind would do that. NOT AT ALL!

I thought this whole story was BS until I heard the flight story. That made me a believer.

LOL And leaking amniotic fluid and your water breaking are the same thing. The amniotic fluid is your 'water.'

Pammie I agree w/you. I think the biggest victim in this is Bristol not beling allowed to raise her son as her own because that would prove mommy's abstinence only theory wrong.

Either she's a selfish idiot who cared more about politics than her pre-term child, or the kid isn't hers.  Either way, it doesn't make her look good.

Yes, labor can take TIME to start, but with pre-term labor, it's a different story.  Not to mention, the high pressure probably would have caused her to lose large amount of amniotic fluid.

Continues to leak amniotic fluid causing high infection risk

Woman gives 30 minute speech.

Travels 45 minutes to airport

Waits in lounge

Boards plane and flies 4 or so hours to Seattle

Never tells flight attendants she was very heavily pregnant and in labor (showed no signs of pregnancy)

Waits for stopover flight in Seattle.

Flies another several hours to Alaska

Long drive home from airport

Delivers 6.2lb baby in small medical center near home that night

Dr. unavailable for comment.

Sounds unlikely she was pregnant at all. There are pictures of her at 8 months pregnant with her 5th child from that day and she wasn't showing. It's all kind of spooky.

The daughter didn't see or have unsupervised contact with any of her friends for between 4 and 5 months, because she had an extended case of mono which lasted until after her Mom's baby was born. (which normally lasts a couple of weeks to a month)

I was skeptical until I heard about the airplane flight.

If she was in the middle of no where then yes get to a larger city, but DALLAS and FT. WORTH has some of the best medical services in the WORLD! Poor judgment as a mother to risk her child and self. 8 hours on an airplane and change over and not telling Alaska Air your water broke in Dallas. The story is fishy at best. I would like to know if this is true. Becoming a parent no matter what age you are is an eye opener. I would like to know if this is true and if it is did her daughter have a choice in the matter. In one of the photos taken after the birth the daughter Bristol does not look very happy. If she forced her daughter to do this to make herself look more perfect in the public eye that is wrong.

Assuming that the story about her water breaking before she boarded an aircraft for a 10 hour flight with one change of aircraft over some of the more remote areas of the US is true ,then she showed an  absolutely horrible lack of good judgment in a real world, real time, potentially life threatening situation

If her judgment is really that bad then she has no business being anywhere near the Oval Office

I've had four kids. How's this for conversation. My water broke, much more than Gov Palin. A gusher not a leak. Still couldn't deliver, they had to do a C-section. Travel took forever to get to my home Doctor and hospital. It is not comfortable, but if I knew I had a high risk pregnancy, I want my people to deliver.

What doesn't make sense is that a pregnancy could get past the media in Alaska and national press (vogue, people). That her many enemies in Alaska in her own party didn't dig this dirt up already. And that none of her daughter's friends spilled the beans for five months of her being out of school and since.  

Alaska, must be truly free of teenage gossip or mean girls, because my daughter's friends would have had this on facebook, youtube and myspace within 24 hours.

How could my wife drive 1 - 1/2 hours to the Hospital after her water broke? I am thoroughly convinced now that my second child was carried and given birth to by my next door neighbour. Thank you all very much for solving this problem for me. I have been confounded by it for years.

B/C thats her teen daughter's baby. Sneaky republican. Instead of being honest and admitting to having a pregnant teen, she lies and tries to look like a saint. I hope the truth comes out soon so we can do away with this Alaskan.
