I am an active member and am outraged that Carl Pope allowed the Club to endorse Clorox Green Works. Hello?? There is corn based ethanol in those products. Can someone explain to me why he did this? I got a pat answer from HQ.

  1. Two reasons: money & a place to start.

Obviously the endorsement deal is a windfall for the Sierra Club, and I think they simply decided that Clorox was taking a step in the right direction. These products aren't perfect, but they're preferrable to petroleum-based cleaners. We've got to start somewhere.
