Why did Sterlo leave the Footy Show?

My understanding is that he was boring, and they were taking the show in a new younger direction, which didn't include him.  Fatty might be old, but he's entertaining; and he appeals to a younger generation.

Although it hasn't been said, I think he left to concentrate on taking steps towards becoming the coach of his beloved eels sometime in the near future.

he was def not fired, he was going to leave last year but then fatty got sick...he wanted to spend more time on the serious side of footy with the sunday footy show and commentating,  .......mayb he is after rabs job wen he retires???

He didn't leave, he was sacked! My family friend, who knows a lot about league told me. Why 9 would sack him from the show is beyond me. I am a big Sterlo fan and an even bigger Eels fan.

He left to concentrate on his career as a comentator.  Also the footy show has gone downhill in the past few years, he probably also wanted to salvage a bit of dignity, before he became too much of an a*** clown.
